Noor respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Noor app accesses, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the app.

Noor is an Islamic companion app that includes features such as prayer times, Quran reading, Qibla direction, Dhikr, Dua, Zakat tools, Programs, onboarding, and app settings.
Noor does not require account creation, does not sell your personal information, and is not designed to profile users for advertising purposes.
2. Information the App Accesses
Noor may access the following information or device features:
- Location — to calculate prayer times and show Qibla direction.
- Notifications — to schedule prayer reminders based on your preferences.
- Local device storage — to save settings such as calculation method, madhab, Quran reader preferences, onboarding status, last read position, and similar app preferences.
- Internet connection — to load app content such as Quran content, program content, or other app resources when applicable.

Noor uses accessed information only for app functionality, including:
- showing accurate prayer times for your location;
- displaying the Qibla direction;
- scheduling prayer reminder notifications;
- saving your app preferences locally on your device;
- loading religious content and media needed for app features.

Noor is designed to minimize data collection.
- Noor does not require a user account.
- Noor does not sell personal information.

Some information may be processed on-device or transmitted only as needed to provide app features, such as retrieving app content from a server or using device services required for location and notifications.
5. Local Storage
Noor stores certain information locally on your device to improve your experience. This may include:

- Quran reading preferences and last-read progress;
- onboarding completion status;
- notification preferences and scheduled reminder settings;
- other feature-related saved preferences.
This information is stored locally to support app functionality.
6. Location Information
If you grant location permission, Noor uses your location to provide prayer times and Qibla functionality. Location access is optional, but some features may not work correctly without it.
You can control location permission at any time in your device settings.
7. Notifications
If you enable prayer reminders, Noor schedules local notifications on your device. Notification settings such as reminder timing and selected sound may be saved locally in the app.
You can turn notifications on or off in the app and in your device settings.
8. Data Retention
Noor keeps locally stored preferences on your device until you delete the app or clear app data, unless a feature specifically replaces older saved data with newer data.
9. Children’s Privacy
Noor is a general audience app and is not specifically directed to children.
10. Security
Noor is designed to minimize the collection of personal information. Reasonable steps are taken to keep app functionality and stored information secure. However, no method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
